The journey of the Weiler brand began in 1879 in Pforzeim, Germany, under the leadership of brush master Joseph E. Weiler. Determined to follow in his father's footsteps, his eldest son, Karl E. Weiler, who grew up to be a very talented painter, emigrated from Germany in 1927. Later, in 1944, the Weiler Brush Company started production in a production facility converted from a chicken coop on Long Island, New York.
From these humble beginnings, the Long Island facility began to grow in its industry, moving to Cresco in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in Northeastern Pennsylvania in 1957. Karl E. Weiler's son, Karl M. Weiler, continued the tradition as a talented brush master with the same genetic heritage, started working for the company in 1961 and today serves as Weiler's Chairman of the Board of Directors.
